I highly recommend both Dr. Carol McNeely and Physicians Asst Mariella Purvis at University Dermatology Associates. I have had some skin cancer scares, and they are both thorough and firm - they aren’t out to scare you, but will tell you in a steely voice when you need to have something taken care of. They don't approach dermatology as a beauty issue, but rather a medical one - they are great for anyone with skin concerns.

FYI - none of the doctors in this practice are accepting new patients right now. (April 2006)
University Dermatology Associates has 'retired' - their practice has been sold to Dr. Radha Mikkilineni - Board Certified in Dermatology and Dermatopatholgy.
Dr. McNeely, Ms. Purvis, PA-C and Dr. Mikkilineni, are now accepting new patients as appointment times allow.
Our 'new' practice will be offering not only medical dermatology, but cosmetic services as well.
Dr. Purvis has to be one of the most useless and least solution-oriented dermatologists I have ever been to...
I had a good experience with Dr. McNeeley as well. She's very sought-after, so it took me a while to get an appt. She did a thorough and careful mole mapping for me. Unfortunately, she doesn't take my insurance anymore and so I can't go to her and her office charges $30 for you to get your own medical files-- no exceptions.
